Welcome to my Quenya lessons.
These are going to be easy for anyone to understand, so try your hand at it. Who knows: you might be a natural.

PLURALS


1. Append r, ea, ie, or, io, and oo to the end of the noun that is desired to be plural. Example: olvar = olva [plant] + r [more than one] = plants

2. Append -rim to the end of the noun to denote great numbers or respect. Example: nionrim = nion [bee] + rim [many] = many bees



PRONOUNS


1. When solitary, pronouns express subjects. Example: Amin hlar lle. = amin [I] + hlar [hear] + lle [you] = I hear you.

2. When used in possessive phrases, they express possession. Example: huoamin = huo [dog] + amin [my] = my dog

POSSESSIVE PHRASES


1. Pluralize noun (if it is intended to be plural). Example: axorimamin = axo [bone] + rim [many] + amin [my] = my many bones

2. Append pronoun to end of object. Example: narmohe = narmo [wolf] + he [her] = her wolf



ADJECTIVES


1. Append adjective to the front of the object/action it is describing. Examples: malinacemen = malina [yellow] + cemen [soil] = yellow soil

2. When expressing intensities (i.e. large, larger, largest) and the word ends in a vowel, append -n for -er and -nin for -est. Examples: silmanin = silma [silver] + -nin [most] = most silver

3. When expressing intensities and the word ends in a consonant, append -in for -er and -inin for -est. Examples: qualinin = qualin [dead] + -in [-er] = more dead



ADVERBS


1. Follows verb in unchanged form.

2. Use intensity rules listed above.



VERBS


1. For past tense, append -e. Example: Amin cene. = amin [I] + cene [saw/have seen] = I saw/have seen.

2. For present tense, append -a. Example: Amin cena. = amin [I] + cena [see] = I see.

3. For future tense, append -uva. Example: Amin cenuva. = amin [I] + cenuva [will see] = I will see.

4. For conditional tense, append -aya.

5. Two or more conjugated verbs may exist in one phrase, as long as are not strung together.

6. Use unconjugated verbs when stringing more than one together.
